A good poker player not only have to be good with the cards, it also has to be good managing his finances, especially if the main reason to play poker is making money. So if you need to learn how to manage your bankroll, the following tips will be very useful for you.

The first consideration you should take into account, especially if you are thinking of going up one level, is to make sure that your poker technique is good enough to play the selected level. Moreover you should ensure that you have enough funds to play at that level. As a general rule your bankroll should be big enough to cover 100 buy in or between 200 and 300 big blinds. If you fulfil both requirements you will be ready to go up one level.
